On May 17, 2011, both Indiana's Republicorp senators voted against Senate Bill 940, a bill to reduce the Federal budget deficit by closing big oil tax loopholes.

On May 4, 2011, Indiana's 9th District Republicorp congressman voted for House Bill 910, a bill to amend the Clean Air Act to prohibit the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency from promulgating any regulation concerning, taking action relating to, or taking into consideration the emission of a greenhouse gas to address climate change, and for other purposes.

On May 4, 2011, Indiana's 9th District Republicorp congressman voted for House Bill 1214, a bill to repeal mandatory funding for school-based health center construction.

On March 17. 2011, Indiana's 9th District Republicorp congressman voted for House Bill 1076, a bill to deny funding for National Public Radio.

On March 11. 2011, Indiana's 9th District Republicorp congressman voted for House Bill 836, a bill to terminate the Emergency Mortgage Relief Program.

On February 18, 2011, Indiana's 9th District Republicorp congressman voted for an amendment to HR 1 (the budget) that prohibits federal funds from going to Planned Parenthood or to any of its state or local affiliates, for any purpose.

On February 18, 2011, Indiana's 9th District Republicorp congressman voted against an amendment to HR 1 (the budget) which would have prohibited the use of public funds for Department of Defense sponsorship of NASCAR race cars.

On February 15, 2011, Indiana's Republicorp senators voted for an amendment to Senate Bill 223 (FAA Air Transportation Modernization and Safety Improvement Act), which would have terminated collective bargaining rights for employees of the Transportation Security Administration.
